American Gangster

Not that I trust anything with the name Spielberg near it these days (see last post as necessary), but French site Spielberg News is reporting a rumor that the suddenly very busy Josh Brolin is in consideration to take the lead in the Escape From New York remake (Brolin is also being talked about for the title role in the new Terminator). Last time we heard about the project, Len Wiseman was up to direct and Gerard Butler was to take the lead. No new director; we'll see if Brolin pans out. I could see it.

Spielberg News also mentions the latest on Transformers 2. I'm not going to report on it, because I absolutely do not care, but I did think I should mention the words "Transformers 2" somewhere in this blog eventually.
